Have you ever dreamed of freediving or snorkelling alongside playful marine creatures in their natural habitat?

Get ready to be charmed by the Australian Fur Seals as you splash, spin, and even backflip underwater. As curious and fun-loving as they come, these seals might just mimic your moves, play a cheeky game of 'Chicken', or even give your fins a playful nibble.

Note: Transport isn't included, but we'll set up a group chat for ride-sharing from Sydney. Meals (except Saturday dinner) and freediving certifications aren't part of the package.

Who Can Join This Weekend?

Everyone's welcome - both snorkellers and freedivers! If you're new to freediving, fret not; snorkelling encounters with seals are equally mesmerizing. And who knows, you might just fall in love with freediving!

FAQs

  • Adults (18+) with confidence and experience in the ocean.

    You don’t need to be a certified freediver to attend! However, you must be a competent swimmer, comfortable in deep water, and you must have snorkelling experience.

    The conditions can be unpredictable at Montague Island so you may need to be prepared for choppiness and current.

    We also require all guests to complete a medical history form before attending. Certain medical conditions may require doctor’s permission before diving.

  • 2 weeks before the date, we will create a Whatsapp Group for all guests. Guests generally use this group to arrange carpools to Narooma.

  • Yes! When you book you will see the option to add on freediving gear.

    Please note, we will only rent weights and weight belts to certified freedivers.

  • There is always an element of unpredictability when we are in the ocean and interacting with wildlife. Freediving with seals is no different. However, we follow extensive safety procedures to help manage the risks.

    We have a team of freediving instructors and first aiders in the water with you at all times, and we will end the dive if conditions become unsafe.

    You will always be diving in a buddy team and we ask everyone to be upfront about their fitness and experience so we can place you in the best suited group!

  • Yes! Just select the dive-only package when you book. Please note that this package does not include evening activities or dinner. However you can select to add this on during booking.

  • Yes! groups of 4+ people will receive a 10% discount. When you book, add the number of people in your party and the overall rate will reduce by 10%.
