Expedition Intensity: Medium-High Physical Intensity

To be completely transparent - we need you to be fit and healthy enough to move in a thick wetsuit, withstand water temps of 4-6 degrees, climb in and out of a zodiac, live on a boat in various conditions AND cope with 14-18 hours of darkness each day.

• You're an ocean and nature lover. You’re open to rolling with the unpredictable.

• You're interactive, patient, and respectful in a group setting.

• You have total respect for the animals and share our belief in never forcing an interaction.

• You value the safety and wellbeing of the group AND the animals.

• You're very comfortable in deep water.

• You're a strong, fit swimmer in deep, choppy water. You can swim 200+m in mixed ocean conditions with speed.

• You’re able to lift and lower your body weight over the side of a small boat.

• Medically fit - we require everyone to complete a medical statement and we may require clearance from a doctor.

• Minimum 18 years of age.

We don’t say this lightly: we run one of the safest and most professional freediving retreat operations in the world because we listen, research, and never stop improving.

• 7 days & 6 nights of accommodation in a stunning Liveaboard Ship, with cosy ensuite cabins and excellent meals prepared by a talented chef.

• 5 Adventure-filled days of exploring the fjords and looking for orcas to swim with (plus other species i.e. humpback whales).

• All Meals (most dietary restrictions can be managed), unlimited water and hot drinks.

• Presentations and Group Activities - We’ll teach you about the animals, give you creative photography insights, run group meditations, heaps of games, and other activities based on the group.

• Transfers to and from the vessel in central Tromso.

• Freediving equipment Other freediving/cold weather equipment not mentioned is not included, however can be rented from us. Equipment rental includes: arctic freedive wetsuit with hood, socks, mitts, fins, mask, snorkel, crocs, windproof poncho and will cost around USD $500 for the entire Expedition.

• Travel Insurance – This is mandatory and self-funded. All guests must have coverage in the event of travel disruptions or injuries/sickness. We are affiliated with DiveAssure and suggest checking them out for comprehensive dive and travel insurance designed for divers.

• Tips for boat crew - recommended USD $10-15 per day

Aside from experiencing life on a luxe ice-breaker ship in the Arctic, there are two strategic reasons why we opt for a Liveaboard for this particular expedition:

1. We maximise our time on the water (& in the wild). Quite literally 100% of your time will be immersed in the arctic ocean and beautiful fjords of Tromso. You don’t have to be on the Zodiacs (the smaller boats) all day to experience the ocean and it’s wildlife as you would by simply booking day tours!

2. It’s more ethical: by being ‘out at sea’, we don’t contribute to the numbers of tour boats that operate by the shore following the wildlife. This way, we don’t crowd the animals and interactions are more organic (we don’t chase, we attract!).

• We rise early, dive a lot, have a lot of fun, and go to bed pretty early. It's probably not the one if you want to party hard.

• The majority of our guests are in the 25-45 age range, but we host all ages 18+, so please expect variety!

• Our customer base is primarily Australian, but we love hosting guests from all over the world.

Cancellation Policy

We run small, personalised trips, so cancellations have a big impact. Please read this carefully before booking. No exceptions can be made.

Travel insurance is mandatory. We strongly recommend taking out a policy as soon as you book to protect your fees in case of late changes.

• USD $750 non-refundable deposit
• Full payment due 3 months before the trip
• 50% payment due 6 months before the trip

Late payment may result in cancellation and loss of deposit

Refunds & Cancellations
• Deposit: Non-refundable
• Cancel or reschedule more than 6 months out: Refund or credit, less deposit
• Cancel within 3-6 months: 50% refund or credit
• Cancel within 3 months: No refund or credit

• Non refundable deposit of USD $750 secures your spot.
